Aviation Sustainability

In October 2021, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Annual General Meeting approved a resolution for the global air transport industry to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050, in line with the Paris Agreement goal.

Achieving net zero emissions, while accommodating growing demand worldwide, will be a huge challenge - but aviation has a strong track record of innovating and producing improvements.

Sustainable aviation fuels, new propulsion technologies, and other efficiency improvements will enable us to meet this global challenge.

Nearly half of all aircraft worldwide are leased. Lessors can drive the demand for the sustainable technology development vital to achieve net-zero by 2050.

Aersource, as part of the leasing community, embrace our responsibility to advance the industry’s vision of globally sustainable aviation.

Our Sustainability Guidelines

#1 Eco-piloting

Reduces the fuel consumption of aircraft on the ground and in flight.

#2 — FUEL OPTIMISATION

Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) has the potential to reduce CO2 emissions by around 80%.

#3 — FLEET MODERNISATION

Our portfolio includes some of the most advanced and fuel-efficient aircraft available today.

Aersource embrace innovation and technology to drive efficiency, safety, and sustainability across the entire aircraft lifecycle. We are committed to helping the aviation industry achieve its ambitious environmental goals.
